The stay is arranged in Shramajeevi Ashram, as the name suggests, it is an ashram which needs us to follow some basic ground rules

1. Maintain peace and quiet at all times, no loud music / loud talking / unruly behaviour
2. Follow the timings specified by the tour organizers and ensure you are on time for meals / excursions / activities
3. It is a plastic-free zone, please carry back any disposables or dispose them at designated locations
4. Sanitary waste needs to be disposed of at specific locations at incinerators
5. Do not wander off from the habitable zones / rooms / canteen, especially at early morning or night
6. Use a torch to walk around in campus when dark
7. Speak in Kannada to all locals, it encourages conversations and friendliness
8. Try to mingle with the locals, Charaka staff or artisans, ask questions, do not assume
9. Stay safe at all times, especially when on the road, adventure activities etc.
10. Do not waste food, if you can't eat it, do not accept it in your plate
11. Ask before taking pictures of locals / ancient monuments / temples / artisans working
12. Participate with utmost focus and interest in all the activities
13. All your work needs to be done by yourself, washing, cleaning, taking care of your belongings etc.
14. There is no room service. Food is served at specified times at the Canteen
15. Be presentable, wear decent non-flashy clothes and minimum accessories, be respectful of locals
16. Do not bring any expensive gadgets or costly jewelry. Be watchful and responsible for your belonging at all times
17. This is a no-alcohol, non-smoking zone. Please help us maintain the sanctity of the pristine surroundings
